Kiichler services held Monday
OSMOND — Funeral services for Myron E. Kiichler, 71, of Osmond were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at the United Methodist Church in Osmond with Rev. Rodgers Chishiba officiating. Interment will be held at the Osmond City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, also at the United Methodist Church. Organist was Charlotte Kiichler. Pallbearers were Luke Kiichler, Trent Kiichler, Max Kiichler, Aaron Beutler, Robbie Christiansen and Brett Kollars.
Myron died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at the Plainview Hospital. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Osmond was in charge of the arrangements.
Born Jan. 11, 1946, in Osmond, Myron was the son of Max and Frieda (Meyer) Kiichler. He attended country school in rural Osmond and graduated from Osmond High School in 1964. After high school, Myron lived in Osmond and worked on a road crew that oiled and repaired the roads in northeast Nebraska. He then worked at Phillips 66 in Osmond for two years. He married Sherry Nissen on Nov. 30, 1968, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. After their marriage, he worked at J. P. Theisen & Sons in Osmond for numerous years until his retirement. Myron loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. He attempted golf but realized hunting and fishing came easier and was less stressful. He was a member of the Osmond Fire Department.
Survivors are his son, Wade (Linda) Kiichler and their children, Zachary, Ethan and Jaden Kiichler of Norfolk; his son, Trent (Teresa) Kiichler and stepdaughter Alexa Berg of Anthem, AZ; his son, Luke (Morgan) Kiichler and daughter Hannah Kiichler of Burke, VA; siblings Marlene (Larry) Wacker and Dean (Charlotte) Kiichler of Osmond, Deb (Larry) Beutler of Norfolk and Kim (Daryl) Kollars of Hadar; a sister-in-law, Sandra Kiichler of Fremont and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Frieda, and a brother, Roger.
