Osmond golf team seventh at state; Kumm is 10th

NORTH PLATTE — Lake Maloney golf course in North PLatte was once again the site of the Class D Nebraska state high school golf championships. The two-day event was played May 22-23. The Osmond Tiger golf squad qualified for the state event with their district title a week ago.

Alex Kumm Finishes in Top 10

Ninety-six players teed it up for play and weather conditions proved ideal. Alex Kumm capped his accomplished career as he took the medal stand, placing in the top 10 with a 10th-place finish. Alex shot an 84 on the opening day and was sitting in 16th place. On the second day of play, Alex opened with a 38 on the first nine and finished with an 80 to move up the leader board to his medal finish. Alex played all four years in the state tourney and was an individual qualifier three of those years
