Historic organ returns to Laurel

LAUREL — As residents of Laurel made plans for their Q-125 celebration, a part of the community’s history arrived just in time for the event. It came as a gift in the form of an antique pump organ.

The historical significance of this gift is that it belonged to Laura Martin, whose father, W. M. Martin, was part of the Townsite Company that developed Laurel. He owned the land on which the town was built and it was after her the town was named.
