Bears battle the elements to place fourth at Conference

WAKEFIELD — A busy week of golf was capped Monday with a fourth-place finish for the LCC linksters at the Lewis & Clark Conference tournament in Wakefield. With warm south winds blowing as high as 40 miles per hour throughout much of the day, the Bears were able to finish in the middle of the 10-team field and came away with one medal after the tough round.

Noah Schutte came home with an 11th place finish, shooting a 92, to lead the Bears. Izac Reifenrath just missed a top 15 finish, ending a stroke off the pace with a 95. Karsen Klooz and Logan Hansen both shot 96 and Ty Erwin finished with a 112.
