Food and Fun

The Community Barbecue and Pie Contest event hosted by the Evangelism Committee was originally supposed to be an outdoor event at the Coleridge City Park, but due to heavy rainfall it was moved to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The event had burgers and hot dogs, bingo, a pie contest and live music. Any donations from the event will go back to the Evangelism Committee fund. The event also passed out school supplies such as notebooks and crayons to the elementary, middle and high schoolers.

The results of the pie contest were Dale Engelmann in first place with a New York cheesecake with a strawberry ginoche, Delaney Hall in second with a peach and blueberry pie and Brandi Walker in third with a blueberry and banana pie. Each winner was given a gold pie server. According to Amy Hall of the Evangelism Committee, the event was meant to cultivate more community. “We want to build community and live our faith,” Amy Hall of the Evangelism Committee said.
