Veterans and loved ones remembered in Randolph

RANDOLPH — The annual Memorial Day Program was held Monday, in the Randolph Public School commons with a very large crowd in attendance. The Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and their Auxiliaries sponsor this local program.

The ceremonies began with the presentation of colors to the music of the Randolph High School band as they played “You’re a Grand Ole Flag,” which was followed by a beautiful rendition of “The National Anthem” by high school choir member Adrianne Kruger.

The “Pledge of Allegiance,” was then led by Jerry Wiese and Invocation was given by Rev. Fong of the Randolph/Wausa Methodist Churches. City of Randolph President, Brad Bargstadt, gave the welcome in which he petitioned the audience to do three things, “enjoy the program, have a safe weekend, and to remember the real reason we are here.”
