HARTINGTON — After flashes of lightning and low rumbles of thunder, performers and audience members piled into the Open Class building for an evening of music and fun at the Cedar County Fair Talent Show.
The competition was divided into four age divisions– Tiny-Tot, Junior, Senior and Adult.
The show featured 22 participants putting on their best musical act for the audience, who filled rows of seats and bleachers in the back.
Teelah Bleich, who won first place in the Tiny-Tot division, was one of two young performers who sang “How Far I’ll Go.”
Bleich said she chose the song, from Disney’s movie “Moana,” because it’s her favorite song from her favorite movie. She said she was originally just going to dance for the crowd, but decided to sing after getting the movie for her birthday.
