Randolph native helps rescue shark-bite victim

COCOA BEACH, Fla. — A Randolph native helped save a woman bitten by a shark while wading in waist-deep water off Cocoa Beach Sunday.

Jill Kruse, 28, was visiting Florida with friends and family when the attack happened on a stretch of South Coaco Beach, leaving her with a six-inch laceration.

“I looked over at her and she said somebody help me,” said Randolph native Holly Peterson, who, along with Kruse’s sister, Bridget, helped rescue Jill.
