Property purchase is raising questions

RANDOLPH —  A request to purchase a piece of property located in the city of Randolph has raised a few questions.
Ownership on a portion of the property located at the north end of Main Street near the school bus barn is under review.
A check at the Cedar County Courthouse revealed there are no records of ownership on a portion of the property, according to Kelsey Backer, City Administer.
Part of the property, which is divided at a slant, is owned by the Randolph School District. A portion of the property could be under the ownership of the City of Randolph, but that has yet to be determined.
The Randolph School District had a survey done on the property.
Mark Linville talked to council members about purchasing the property.
