New Randolph city ordinances are now in place

RANDOLPH — Randolph Council members placed their approval on two ordinances for the city and discussed a resolution that will put a third ordinance in place during the July 5 City Council meeting.
Ordinance 681: International Property Maintenance Code.
The ordinance will put a building code in place for the city that can be used for nuisance properties, dilapidated properties and other issues according to City Attorney Keelan Holloway.
The Planning Commission had reviewed the ordinance and made the recommendation for the ordinance to be adopted.
“The Planning Commission made the recommendation for adoption and I recommend that you adopt this,” Holloway said. “The ordinance that is in place now dates back to a 1973 revision. This will bring you up to date.”
