Memorial Day services to be held in Randolph

RANDOLPH — Randolph will hold a Memorial Day Program on May 27 at 10 a.m. at the Jr./Sr. High School.

The program will feature a Voice of Democracy speech by Justin Korth. Each year the Randolph VFW Post 5545 sponsors the local Voice of Democracy speech competition with the winner going on to district competition.

The Randolph High School band will play music for the services.

State of Nebraska Hospital Chairman and past State Commander Gary Steckelberg is the featured speaker.

After the ceremony, those attending will proceed to the St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, then to the City Cemetery and on to Rose Hill Cemetery. The names of the military deceased will be read at each cemetery with the accompaniment of a firing squad.
