Lady Tigers fall in season opener

OSMOND — The Randolph Cardinals jumped to a quick 36-11 lead in the first half of the 2016-17 girls’ basketball opener against the Osmond Lady Tigers on Friday, Dec. 2, in Osmond.

While an intense press helped the Cardinals make life tough on the Lady Tigers, so too did making 20 of their 28 first half free-throws.

“We came out very sluggish (which was expected for the first game), and did quite a bit of fouling,” Coach Michael Brown said. “We gave them a pretty big lead from the free-throw line and dug a hole we had to play out of.”
