Golfview Estates has fresh new look

RANDOLPH—Spring is a time of renewal, new grass, new life, a new coat of paint can make everything fresh and restored.

The former Randolph Haven buildings located on Wayne Street in Randolph recently have undergone their own transformation.

The buildings, which were originally constructed in 1979, were used for low income housing for a period of many years.

Last June, Cornerstone Associates of Osmond purchased the buildings and decided to give them an update, facelift, and new purpose.

Since that time, crews have been busy gutting the old apartments and giving them a complete overhaul. In that time period four of the apartments have been prepared for new tenants. These include two one-bedroom apartments and two, two-bedroom apartments. Work continues and more apartments will be available very soon. At the end of the construction period, 16 apartments will be available.

Last January they were reopened as Senior Independent Living apartments. Cornerstone has similar properties to this in Pierce, Osmond, Elgin, Bridgeport and Fullerton. The apartments are designed to attract people ages 55 and older.

Amenities include fully furnished appliances in each apartment a flat top stove, a micro range, dishwasher, refrigerator and front load washer and dryer. The apartments are also considered maintenance free. This includes lawn care, snow removal as well as repairs with-in and out of the apartments. Though yard care is included, as part of the package individuals who wish to have a garden will be provided the space in which to do so.  The yards will also be professionally landscaped as soon as nicer weather makes it possible to do so.

Future construction plans also include the center building, which currently houses the washer and dryers and community room. This area will be completely renovated into a large community room allowing individuals who would like to host family gatherings the benefit of doing so in comfort.

With this Wayne street location are other conveniences to be considered. The distance from the grocery store, library, senior center, post office, gas station and bank are only blocks away. Off street parking is available at the apartments as well.  And for those who prefer a country setting to the town, the back yard view at the apartments includes a small field and the rolling green hills of the community golf course.
