Four Randolph wrestlers are ready for State

AMHERST — Randolph High School may have had one of the smaller teams competing for medals at the District D3 meet here Friday and Saturday, but that didn’t seem to matter.
The Cardinal wrestling team qualified four of their six wrestlers for this week’s state competition in Omaha.
Defending state champion Drew Loberg was the lone district champion among the four Cardinal qualifiers, returning to action after being out for four weeks due to a broken thumb.
Loberg will be joined by district runner-up Alex Schmit (132) and fourth-place finishers Brandon Bloomquist (138) and Noah Scott (145) on the journey to Omaha, with fi rst-round action starting Thursday morning at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
