First graders act out nursery rhymes

RANDOLPH — Mrs. Petersen’s First Grade Class held its play of “Mother Goose’s Goose is Loose” on Monday.

Mother Goose was played by Barb Rohde and all of the children had a nursery rhyme that they recited.

The children used props to help with their parts and played various roles such as Little Jack Horner and Little Miss  Muffet.

Georgie Porgie made his appearance as well with Aiden Gubbels being Georgie, and Ella Scott as the little girl who cried. Justin Guenther, Jake Harder and Bryson Eledge were the little boys who ran away.

The children also recited a poem for their mothers for a belated Mother’s Day recognition, and some children chose to practice their public speaking skills and treated the audience with poems that they had written about their mothers.
