CVA facility planned for Randolph area

RANDOLPH — A huge building project is in the works approximately four miles west of Randolph near the junction of highways 20 and 81.

Central Valley Ag Cooperative has applied for state certifications and permits for the proposed project.

The project involves construction of a new grain and agronomy storage and distribution facility on approximately 150 acres.

A rail loop through the facility would connect the grain and fertilizer buildings and warehouses to the Burlington North Santa Fe Rail Line.

Central Valley Ag filed for a Conditional Use Permit for the new facility March 2012, according to Pierce County Zoning Director John Johnson. The permit was approved by the Pierce County Board.
