Tigers run at Battle Creek meet

BATTLE CREEK — On Tuesday, April 4, the Osmond Tigers competed in the Battle Creek invitational. The boys finished in fifth place and the girls in seventh.
The top girl placer was Makenzie Johnson in the high jump, where her 4-ft., 10-inch jump earned her second place. Also finishing second was the boys’ 1,600-meter relay team of Curtis Kralicek, Brock Johnson, Anthony Heiman and Brett Simmons.  Their time of 3:44.3 and was four seconds behind first place Battle Creek. Cole Moes ran his best 110 high hurdle time of 16.4, collecting a silver medal. Kyle Swallow took second in the triple jump with a leap of 39 ft., 10 in. Kyle was also sixth in the long jump with his best effort of 19 ft.,  2 in.
Kennedy Johnson recorded her best triple jump ever with a mark of 32 ft., 5 in. for third place. She also ran to fourth place in the 400 meters in her best time of 65.9. Curtis Kralicek took third in the 300 hurdles in a nice time of 43.0, after a fifth place finish in the 110 high hurdles in a time of 16.9. Brock Johnson was third in the high jump with a leap of 5 ft., 8 in. Tyler Reikofski had a strong day in the throws as he hit a personal best in the shot put of 44 ft.,  9.5 in. for third place. His discus throw measured 109 ft., 8.5 in., good for fourth place. Anthony Heiman took fourth place in the 800 meters in a time of 2:13.2.
