Three 42R staff members submit resignations

OSMOND — A number of changes are coming to Osmond Community School following the Monday, March 13, meeting of District 42R School Board.
Three resignations were accepted with regrets — those of K-12 special education teacher Elizabeth Chelle; 6-11 language teacher and weightlifting and football coach Rod Brummels, and Spanish teacher, athletic director and golf coach Randy Jochum. Board President Michelle Reikofski thanked them for their years of service to the district and wished them well.
In addition, Kurt Polt of Giltner has been hired by the district as the new K-12 principal for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years. Polt was present at the meeting and was welcomed by board members.
School guidance counselor Jane Brummels reported that the state ACT will be given to all juniors on April 19. She also informed the board about NeSA testing, which is scheduled for the end of March and in April, and spring MAP testing, which is currently in progress.
