TeamMates to hold kick-off event

OSMOND — The TeamMates mentoring program of Osmond will begin its fourth year with the start of this school year. The mission of the TeamMates program is to “positively impact the world by inspiring youth to reach their full potential through mentoring.”  The goal of the local chapter is to contribute to that mission by serving and supporting the youth of the community through mentoring.  A mentor is a person who volunteers to spend time with a youth developing a relationship of caring and trust.

For this year, the members of the local board of directors include Jane Brummels, president; Todd Schulze, vice president; Patti Ketelsen, treasurer; Christy Koehler, secretary; Gary Schieffer, member; Pam Johnson, member, and Tyler Gansebom, member. The program director is Beth Manzer.  Persons who are interested in being a part of this program are welcome to contact the program director or any board member.

The group will begin the year with a kickoff night on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the school.  There will be a group activity along with a snack.  All mentors and mentees are invited!
