Tigers lose one, win one against C2 opponents

The OHS Tigers hosted the Warriors from Neligh-Oakdale on Tuesday night, Jan. 10, a game in which the Tigers suffered their fourth loss of the season, with a 51-46 defeat at the hands of the now 12-2 Warriors. Friday evening, Jan. 13, Osmond was able to notch their seventh win of the season, with a 62-37 victory in Hartington over the Wildcats.
OSMOND — In Tuesday’s contest, Osmond got off to a slow start while Neligh-Oakdale put up 32 first-half points (23 of those in the first quarter), compared to the 18 points scored by the Tigers. Osmond started the game playing man-to-man defense. Neligh-Oakdale’s quickness and outside scoring proved to be troublesome and a switch to a 1-3-1 defense to start the second quarter proved to be what Osmond needed, helping the Tigers outscore Neligh-Oakdale 35-28 in the last three quarters.
