Saturday evening fire damages Osmond dwelling

OSMOND — A house fire at 508 North Logan Street in Osmond on Saturday resulted in the family making other living arrangements. The siren sounded at 5:50 p.m. for the call to the Joe Kirstine home. Only his wife, Brittany, was at home at the time. The couple has four children — girls ages seven, five and two and a boy, age one.
According to Fire Chief Tom Kruse, the kitchen and pantry sustained damage from the fire. The rest of the dwelling suffered smoke and water damage. Firemen were on the scene for four hours. The fire is being investigated by State Fire Marshal Jeff Going.
The family is living at 309 East Locust in Plainview. Clothing and household items are being accepted. Clothing sizes are Brittany, XL; Joe, men’s medium; girls, 3T, six and seven, and boy, size 18 months.
