1949 OHS graduate dies in Texas

CENTER, TX — Lavern Alice Weber Spaude Keck, 85, of Center, TX, died Friday, March 17, 2017, in Center, TX. Her wishes were to be cremated. Her family and friends will meet Saturday, May 6, at her granddaughter’s home in Rock Springs, WY, then travel to White Mountain for a memorial service.
Lavern Alice was born March 6, 1932, in Norfolk to Erwin and Edna (Volwiler) Weber. She was the granddaughter of Louis Weber, who lived on various farms in the Osmond area at that time. Lavern graduated with the Osmond High School Class of 1949. Her hobbies included golfing, fishing, hunting, traveling and playing dominoes. She loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Keck was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her children, Linda Chavez and husband David, Patricia Boye and husband Brett, Steven Spaude, Jacqueline Brown and Tommy Wright; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; stepsons Steve McKinney and wife Paula and Donnie McKinney and wife Michelle; brother Clarence “Bud” Weber and wife Darlene; nephew Robert Weber; niece Lisa Dungan, two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband Eugene Spaude; husband Arthur Keck; in-laws Chuck and Edith Keck; grandsons Noah Boye and Joseph Boye and nephew Larry Dungan.
