Music students earn 19 superiors, 5 excellents

Students from the Osmond High School music department, directed by Jere Heide, competed in the annual district music contest on Friday, April 25. The competition this year took place at Hartington.

The entries returned home with 12 superiors for band entries and seven superiors and five excellents for the vocal entries. The concert received “ones” from all three judges and was presented a plaque. The jazz band garnered two “ones” and a two toward its superior rating. The concert choir received “twos” across the board while the show choir was awarded a “one” and two “twos.”
