District 42R School board welcomes new principal

OSMOND — The District 42R Board of Education dealt with a very light agenda on Monday, July 10, which resulted in a very short meeting. In attendance was new principal Kurt Polt, as well as instructors Joe Ortmeier and Brian Guenther.
Superintendent Dave Hamm gave board members an update on summer projects being completed on the facility, which included removing some of the old carpeting and installing new.
Hamm reviewed the milk bid for the coming school year; the price for white, chocolate and strawberry milk will increase, but is still significantly below where it was two years ago, he advised.
Hamm noted that he had only received one application for the para-educator the district has been advertising for, and will probably offer that person the job.
