Changes made in Relay for Life event

Plans have been finalized and 16 teams are ready for the 2014 Cedar County Relay for Life on Friday, May 30, at the Randolph track and field.

A few last-minute changes were made at the final planning meeting. Registration for survivors will start at 5 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m. At 6 p.m., the opening ceremony will begin, followed by the survivor walk. This is a

change in time.

The meal, open to the public with a free-will donation, will be served from 5 to 6 p.m.

Plans were also announced for a Crazy Sock Lap. Participants and the general public are encouraged to bring along their “crazy socks” and join in this lap.

Everyone is welcome to help Cedar County “sock it to cancer” from 6 p.m. to midnight in Randolph on May 30.
