Thirteen new businesses were highlight of Laurel Chamber Banquet

LAUREL — Katie and Dr. Aaron Christiansen have no regrets on making the move to Laurel a few years ago.

Katie, President of the Laurel Chamber, expressed her appreciation for the Laurel community during Friday’s Chamber Banquet and told how proud they are to be part of the local business community.

Katie and Aaron moved their family to Laurel three years ago when they bought a building here and opened A/C Chiropractic & Wellness in downtown Laurel.

When the couple were looking for a place to start their practice they looked at many towns — small and large, near and far.

“We were both raised in Plainview and knew we wanted to raise our children in a town like Plainview, minus the clowns,” she said. “Choosing Laurel has been one of the best decisions.”

The Christiansens have been impressed with how the people and businesses in town know how to work hard to get the job done, but also play hard, too.

They have also noticed how proud the alumni are to be Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears. Another asset is how the people in town try very hard to shop locally.

“There is a lot in this town to be proud of,” Katie said.
