Schutte is elected to guide LCC Bd.

COLERIDGE  — A new board president was put in place during the Jan. 9 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School Board meeting, and three new board members – Tyler Specht, Sam Recob, Dustin Thompson – were welcomed to the meeting.
Jay Hall and Steve Schutte were both nominated for board president with Schutte being elected as president by ballot.
Hall was then elected to serve as vice-president.
Sheri Krei was appointed as the District Treasurer.
Board members took action on replacing one of the school cars with the purchase of a 2016 Chevy Impala. The trade-in amount for the vehicle was $15,000.
The transaction was completed at Kardell’s Auto, Laurel.
Three bids for the sale of the school’s L600 Rounder skid loader were opened during the school board meeting. It had been stated in the ad asking for bids that the motor would need to be rebuilt or replaced.
