New chiropractic office is now open for business

LAUREL — Dr. Aaron and Katie Christiansen are ready to settle in and become a part of the Laurel community.

A C Chiropractic & Wellness, which is located in downtown Laurel, opened their doors for business Dec. 11.

The couple had been working tirelessly for several months to get their new office updated and ready for business. This summer they moved into the old Dr. Lee Dahl dentist office in the Laurel downtown district.

The Christiansen family, which includes four year-old Ava and one year-old Tenlie, have also recently moved into a home in Laurel.

Aaron and Katie looked at several options before making the decision to open a chiropractic clinic in Laurel.

Aaron and Katie were familiar with small town living, as they had both grown up in Plainview.

Life in Laurel is just what they had hoped for.

“We love the small town atmosphere. Everything is more personable,” Aaron said. “The support we have received in Laurel has been phenomenal. We had heard there was a great school system here. We wanted that for our kids.”

“We were ready to plant our roots,” Katie said. “We wanted to raise our kids the way we were raised – in a small town.”

Aaron works out at the Community Center and has already met a number of people from the Laurel area.

Aaron studied biology and chemistry and completed the prerequisites for chiropractic at Wayne State.

He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, in February 2013.

Katie earned an associate’s degree in chiropractic technology at Palmer College.

Katie will be able to help out with the initial exams and x-rays, and handle some of the therapy treatments. She will also be the office manager for the clinic and work with insurance.

Nutritional advice and supplies will also be available for the patients at A C Chiropractic and Wellness.

“We can provide overall health care,” Katie said.

A C Chiropractic and Wellness will be open to see patients five days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m-5 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m-6 p.m..

“We will be open by appointments on Saturdays, too,” Aaron said.
