LCC School Bd. approves bid for new entryway

LAUREL — A bid in the amount of $482,900 for the security renovation project at the LCC School in Laurel has been approved.

The bid, submitted by Fauss Construction, Inc., Hooper, was accepted at a special School Board meeting held Nov. 3.

Bids had also been received from OCC Builders LLC, Wayne, and RaDec Construction, Hartington.

Jon Carlson, Carlson West Povondra Architects, opened the bids during the special meeting and answered questions from school board members.

A preconstruction meeting will be held Nov. 28, said Supt. Randall Klooz.

The project will affect the Community Learning Center, so Klooz said the Library Board will be invited to attend the meeting.
