LCC School approves new budget

LAUREL — The 2016-17 budget for the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School remains at the same level as the 2015-16 budget.

To keep the tax requirement the same as last year, the school’s 2016 tax rate will drop a small amount from last year’s tax rate due to an increase of just over $32.5 million for the 2016 valuation for the school district.

The 2016 school’s tax rate is set at 57.25 cents per $100 of assessed valuation which is down from the previous tax rate of 58.47 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.

LCC School’s “Tax Asking” will remain the same, according to Supt. Randall Klooz.
