LCC Middle School Students learn from robots, flying drones

LAUREL — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School board members had an opportunity to see just how tech savvy Middle School students are becoming.
Two seventh grade students, Jayden Pick and Deagan Puppe, gave a short presentation by using a mini iPad to move a robot around on the gym floor just ahead of the school board meeting on Monday evening, March 13.
Middle School students have been given an introduction on coding robots to perform specific actions.
The students have been using an app on a mini iPad to create the program according to Middle School Principal Tim Vanderheiden.
Pick and Puppe said they have been learning quite a lot about the robots and drones during a 15-minute class in their home room before school starts.
