‘Here Comes the Bus’ provides a good feeling for LCC parents

LAUREL — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School administration and staff has been working this school year to provide better bus safety for the students.
LCC School board members placed their approval on the safety measures. Cameras have been installed on each school bus.  LCC School has also partnered with Synovia Solutions to create a safer experience for students who are riding the bus. The school has been working with the availability of a free innovative app that provides real-time bus location, scheduled and actual arrival times, student tracking capability and alerts to get their child to and from school safe and on time.
“Here Comes The Bus” is the only mobile device app in the U.S. that provides a push alert when the bus is near. The app is free for the remainder of the school year in the App Store and Google Play according to Elementary Principal Heath Johnson.  “Parents and others can download the app which will tell them when their kids are getting close to home, are at school and other information. They have to have a bar code before they can do that,” Johnson said.
