City leaders hear ideas at Strategic Planning mtg.

LAUREL — Strategic Planning for the future of the City of Laurel is being put in place.

A planning session, hosted by NPPD and Laurel Economic Development, was held on Nov. 10 at the Claramont Steak & Chop House.

The group in attendance identified four large projects as a community need: downtown sidewalk improvements, a new Community Center, new Fire Dept./EMS building and a Career Academy which would be done through a partnership with LCC Schools and Northeast Community College.
