Christmas trees are big part of this year’s special event

LAUREL — Christmas trees offered a variety of decorations and designs and were part of the Scavenger Hunt during the Night of Lights in Laurel.

Just inside the door at Gary’s Food Town you see a Christmas tree “dressed up” like Santa. The tree is topped off with a Santa hat and a white beard. Two warm kitchen oven mitts are keeping its hands warm; a wide black belt with a gold buckle is wrapped around the tree and black boots completes the winter outfit. Two large reindeer and a sleigh loaded with groceries sat close by.

A patriotic Christmas tree sits in the lobby at Security Bank. The red, white and blue tree decorations include several American flags and a star on top. A number of the ornaments are adorned with photos and names of local veterans.

There was lots of laughter and visiting going on at the A/C Chiropractic & Wellness location.

Holiday decorations included two Christmas trees – one dressed as a snowman and the other was done up in silver and blue decorations.
