Barely Worn is here to help area residents

LAUREL — A new thrift store has opened in town.

Barely Worn Outlet is housed in what once was the Grossenburg Implement office.

A year ago, Brian and Mary Waggener moved to Laurel.  Originally they thought about settling in Coleridge, but when things fell through, they found a house in Laurel.

“We fell in love with this town and the people on Night of Lights.  We saw kids laughing and parents out with their kids.  You don’t always see that,” Mary said, “moving to Laurel was like coming home.”  She had grown up on a 375 acre farm on Kent Island, Maryland.

Growing up, her mother sewed all of her clothes and raised her to do for others.
