Improvements being made at Cedar County Fairgrounds

HARTINGTON — The Cedar County Agriculture Society has recently begun preparing the fair grounds for the Cedar County fair next month. From now up until the day of the fair, the Ag Society will meet every week to finish the upgrades on the commercial building for the 4-H shows, remove the race track and prepare the bandstand for the Brothers Osborne and Blackhawk country groups.
Ag Society president Greg Heine said the organization has also booked up-and-coming country music band Forgotten Highway as an opening act for Brothers Osborne. He said he’s expecting over 3,000 people to show up for the concert due to the group’s recent popularity.
Brothers Osborne won the Country Music Association’s Vocal Duo of the Year award last year and their single “Stay a Little Longer” reached the number two spot on the Country Airplay chart in January 2016.
