HARTINGTON — People that have a passion for small towns are asked to take part in a special meeting here Thursday.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension is coming to Hartington with a program called Entrepreneurial Communities Activation Process –ECAP for short.

The program is a research project to determine how rural communities address eight characteristics researchers deem to be qualities of innovative, entrepreneurial communities. The ECAP process includes 4 Community Conversations (meetings) packed with lots of activities and information to use in creating a mini-action plan.

ECAP will kick off Thursday, May 29th at the VFW Hall. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. Anyone calling Hartington home is invited and encouraged to attend.
