Q125 attire on sale

HARTINGTON — The plans for the selling of the Q’125 Gentlemen’s Attire have changed and improved.
The Q’125 souvenir committee will be working with Globe Clothing, Hartington, in the ordering of the top hats, derby hats and the vests that have been selected as the official Q’125 attire with special pricing.

The new arrangements will provide a higher quality product, better color and size selection and, more importantly, a longer and more flexible period to place and receive an order. The prices have also been adjusted to reflect the improved changes.
In addition, men will have an opportunity to order a different or upgraded style of vest for a different look and prices will vary depending upon what style of vest is selected and ordered. Also, men will be able to order a different style of hat if they choose but again the price may vary depending upon the style selected.
The Globe Clothing will also be selling the special Q’125 String Bow Ties along with the hats and vests and as well as other accessories such as the traditional arm band/garters. The Q’125 String Bow Ties will also be for sale at the Q’125 Headquarters when it opens up in April.
The official Q’125 Gentlemen’s Attire will be on display in the front part of the Globe Clothing March 10 through late April. The Globe will need at least two weeks from the time of ordering time of delivery. Please take this into account when ordering especially since a number of men may want their attire for the Hartington booster and caravan trips that are being scheduled for late April and early May to promote the Q’125 celebration.
“The best advise is to get in early to order your hat, vest and any other accessories needs,” said Scott Schrempp and Dan Kathol, who are coordinating the Q’125 souvenir sales.
The items selected for the official Q’125 Men’s attire and special pricing consists of a 100 percent wool felt lined Top Hat and a Derby Hat. The Top Hat comes in either Black or White and the Derby Hat comes in nine different colors including black in all the men sizes. The vest is a satin-faced button down vest and is available in nine different colors including black and in all sizes.
People will also be able to rent a vest from the Globe Clothing if a person does not want to purchase a vest. “The goal,” said Schrempp and Kathol, “is to see a lot of men dressed up in some kind of distinguishable attire before and during the Q’125 celebration. It may be pulling out the attire from the 100th Centennial celebration or going to the attic or closet for some old attire to wear. We hope that the Hartington area men will take the opportunity to find or purchase some celebration attire as this is the time to have some fun, dress-up from the past for the Q’125 celebration and show off the beards that many men are growing.”
