Hartington man wins $10,000 Powerball

powerball.gif LINCOLN — Ed Hosch, Hartington, won $10,003 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 32,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Wednesday, March 12, drawings.
Among these winners was Hosch, who purchased his winning Powerball ticket at Stop N Go, 605 N Robinson Avenue in Hartington. The five-play quick pick ticket contained one play with four of the five winning numbers (12, 19, 30, 34, 36) and the Powerball number (8) from the March 12 drawing for a corresponding $10,000 prize.
A second play on the ticket matched the Powerball number for $3, making Hosch’s total win $10,003.

One-hundred and sixty-seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432 while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
The Nebraska Lottery has offered Powerball since July 1994. Sales of Nebraska Powerball have exceeded $400 million and have helped raise a total of over $302 million for the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiary funds. All 93 counties in Nebraska have benefited from projects funded with these Nebraska Lottery proceeds.
