HARTINGTON — Often, the best advice about something comes from someone who experienced it themselves.

As the seniors at Hartington Public and Cedar Catholic high schools close another chapter in their lives and prepare to head into the working field or off to college, they shared some words of wisdom for those who will be entering high school this fall.

The seniors talked about everything from handling the coursework to balancing academics and life, to making the most out of every moment.

Amanda Trobaugh, Hartington Public, advised students to work hard in all their coursework, noting that each grade in any class is significant.

“Sometimes you think something simple may not matter that much, but it ends up being important,” she said.

Rachel Schaefer, Cedar Catholic, said to stay organized, she would suggest using a planner to write down all the activities happening both inside and outside the classroom.

She also emphasized to never procrastinate on anything.

Logan Schumacher, also of Cedar Catholic, added, students should prioritize their homework.
