Break-in takes place at Stop-N-Go

HARTINGTON — Stop-N-Go Convenience store, along Hwy 57 on the north edge of Hartington, was broken into last Tuesday and several thousand dollars in merchandise was stolen.

Entry to the Stop-N-Go store was gained during the early morning hours of June 29, after a window on the south side of the building was broken out.
“They tried to get in through the back door first but they couldn’t – they came in through the window and left through the window,” said owner Bob Thoene.
Besides the damage to the window and back door, between $2,000-$3,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. No money was missing, however, Thoene said.
The Hartington Police department is investigating the incident.
