Athletes named to L&C honor team

 

A trio of Hartington Public School girls were named to the All Conference squad last week. Becca Heikes, Sheila Wiebelhaus and Kassydi Jueden all earned spots on the honor team.

HARTINGTON — Making it onto this year’s Lewis and Clark Conference All Conference team was not an easy task.
The Conference boasted two State girls basketball champions in Wynot and Homer. Two other L&C Conference teams also advanced to this year’s boys’ state tournament.


Hartington’s Neil Kramer and Sheila Wiebelhaus both earned spots on the All Conference First Team.
Nathan McPhillips earned a spot on the All Conference Honorable Mention Team for the Wildcats. Hartington seniors Becca Heikes and Kassydi Jueden also earned All Conference Honorable Mention status.
For Wynot, freshman Maggie Schulte and junior Shelby Wieseler both earned spots on the All Conference First Team.
Selected as All Conference Honorable Mention for Wynot were: Bailey Kuchta, Kattie Savoy, Haley Gowery and Brittney Heine.
Wynot put three athletes on the boys All Conference First Team and one on the Honorable Mention squad.
Michael and Devin Wieseler and Cody Stappert all landed spots on the First Team. Chad Boeckman picked up All Conference Honorable Mention status.

Hartington Public School's Neil Hochstein was named First Team All Conference and was voted the top player in the West Division, while Nathan McPhillips was named to the All Conference Honorable Mention squad.
