Graduations begin here this weekend

HARTINGTON — Eighty-one students from the three area schools will soon begin receiving their diplomas.

Hartington Public will hold their graduation ceremony May 4, starting at 2 p.m., in the school gymnasium.

The class motto is, “Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” There are 23 students graduating from HPS this year.

Rachel Flaugh and Alec Fuelberth are the top two students in the senior class.

Wynot Public will also be holding their graduation ceremony May 4, starting at 7 p.m., in the school gymnasium.

The class motto is, “Hakuna Matata: No worries for the rest of our days,” from the Disney movie, “The Lion King.” There are 20 students graduating from Wynot this year.

Kelsie Higgins, Ashley Heine and Devin Jacobs are the three Valedictorians. They will present a speech together.

Cedar Catholic’s graduation ceremony will be May 10, at 7 p.m., in the Monsignor Werner Activity Center.
