Council approves new City Attorney, considers truck parking

RANDOLPH — Wednesday’s Randolph City Council meeting was a busy one.
Action was taken on resolutions for city ordinances, and a remodeling project for the City Office. Repairs at the city’s wastewater treatment plant and the Flood Risk Management Project were discussed.
Council members also approved the appointment of Keelan Holloway as the new city attorney.
Council members were also informed about several complaints that had been received at the City Office.
The complaints involved the parking spots at the truck parking lot located by the RV Park.
Each of the six meters at the truck parking lot is owned by an individual who uses the meter to plug their trucks in. The individual pays for any electricity that is used.
The parking spot is not owned by the individual.
Problems have been occurring when another truck is parked near a meter owned by another individual. It can make it difficult for the owner to reach his meter.
