Snow days

Area school children were finally granted their first snow day of the 2012-13 school year last week. In Coleridge, the storm began moving through on Thursday afternoon, which led to an early dismissal for LCC students. School was called off for Friday due to the accumulation of approximately seven inches of snow and winds. Looking east down Broadway, visibility was greatly decreased as the snow began around 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Friday was the day for clean up, however. Braeden Kleinschmit, son of Allen and Amy Kleinschmit, was happy to help out after Dennis Anderson of Anderson Construction cleared the family’s driveway. Newly hired village maintenance employee Dennis Naslund also got broken in with the first big snowstorm since his hiring.
