Life getting back to normal here after storm

COLERIDGE — Coleridge area residents breathed a sigh of relief this week.
For the first time in several weeks, the week didn’t start out with a major storm warning.
For the past two weeks, Northeast Nebraska has been hit by first, a major ice storm, then a major snow storm.
Last week’s snow storm — Winter Storm Leo — shut most schools down for three days last week.
The storm dropped anywhere from nine to 13 inches of snow onto Cedar County. That snow was then pushed by wind gusts of up to 35 miles per hour, shutting down traffic and closing businesses.
Snow plows opened most roads by Saturday. Uncharacteristically warm weather on Monday did its part to melt off the snow, as well, as the mercury soared to 48 degrees here Monday afternoon.
