HARTINGTON — Voters in southern Cedar County voted for change last week when they overwhelmingly voted against incumbent Jerry Wiese. Craig Bartels earned an overwhelming win for District Two Commission seat in last Tuesdays’ Primary Election. The hotly contested Cedar County Commission race in the southern half of the county made for an above average Primary Election voter turn-out there. The race drew quite a bit of interest as the five precincts that make up District 2 had a 60 percent voter turn-out for the election. Bartels, Belden, garnered 569 votes against incumbent Jerry Wiese who had 199 votes.
