Area finally seeing some real moisture

COLERIDGE — Timely May rains are easing some area residents’ drought concerns.

The National Weather Service shows that so far this May 5.6 inches of rain have fallen in the Coleridge area.

The rains have moved this region from the ‘Extreme Drought’ status to the ‘moderate drought’ status.

While the moisture is keeping some farmers from the field, what crop is in the ground is benefitting from the rains.
